Invitation to CodeChef’s April 2012 Algorithm Challenge

We hope you participated and enjoyed the changes made to monthly Long Contests. We had made some changes to the long contest format to make it more exciting. 10 problems for 10 days! It now has everything for everyone, be it a newbie or a veteran :) You can read more about it in here.

Continuing from there, we bring you the CodeChef April 2012 Long Challenge. The April 2012 Algorithm Challenge is taking place on http://www.codechef.com/APRIL12.

Here are the details:
Date: 1st April 2012 to 11th April 2012
Duration: 10 days
Problems: 9 binary problems of varying difficulty levels + 1 challenge problem.

Problem Setter: Sergey Kulik, Kaushik Iska (cauchyk), Tomaž Hočevar (thocevar), Jingbo Shang (shangjingbo), AnhDQ, Vitaliy Gerasymiw Ishani Parekh (RosyIsh), Vamsi Kavala, David Stolp (pieguy)

Problem Tester: Hiroto Sekido (LayCurse)

It promises to deliver on an interesting set of algorithmic problems with prizes up for grabs.

The contest is open for all and those, who are interested, are requested to register in order to participate.

CodeChef April 2102 Long Challenge please change 2102 to 2012.

The contest is over. We are rejudging all the submissions to the the PLAYFIT problem for a last minute change in the test data brought to our notice by one of our contestants. This should not effect too many users, but we regret the inconvenience caused. The editorials can be found here: http://www.codechef.com/wiki/april-2012-contest-problem-editorials

    Hello! I was fortunate enough to take a second place in the April Long Challenge 2012. I've heard for the first two places offer some prizes, including cash. Could you tell about it in more detail? Thanks.
