Rating have just been recalculated.

I'm feeling quite sad because I missed getting to see a specialist for the first time ever by just one point I scored +110 instead of the required +111

There is still some chance, ratings are usually rolled back after some hours/days of contest completion and those found guilty of plagiarism are removed from the contest. This leads to minor changes in deltas (decreases are unlikely but possible).

      1 point of rating is almost nothing, 1399 rated person is equal to the 1400 rated one.

      I have faced this situation on my alt NOoBODy , I know how it feels But that's just an alt account , let me give me you another example , my friend pwned has a "kinda dream" to become master but he reached 2099 his max, and till now he is struggling.

        Yup! The silver lining, though, is that I didn't stop grinding and maintained my purple level for a while. I know some people who stopped training after reaching master and fell to blue :P

        Treat your "near miss" as extra motivation to reach your goal!

Bro don't think like that. Just touching specialist is different from keep persisting in Specialist zone . It might be possible even if you touch specialist this time , you may become pupil in next contest if you will perform bad. So rather than becoming sad, practice to level up your self so that you can easily cross pupil-specialist border on your will. Bro trust me I had been there...being stuck in 1390s zone so many times but now i can easily cross that border even if i am pupil i can become specialist in couple of contest.

Same happened to me, when I wanted CM so badly, many times I reached pretty close $$$(1850+)$$$, but then dropped. Don't give up hope and keep practicing, because if you do so, then even after many drops, your "internal" level will rise and you will cross the rating range very quickly (and suddenly by a huge positive delta!).
